UMPVIEWER®
Airgap shape deviations is a major root cause to failures in synchronous generators and motors. Keeping track on the magnetic health and how it’s trending over time thus is key to enable proactive maintenance and avoid unplanned stops.
The Magstrom UMPVIEWER® uses some 16-24 magnetic flux density sensors mounted on the stator wall to continuously monitor and measure rotor and stator roundness as well as individual rotor pole strength. The system further offers an ever-growing portfolio of add-on features, e.g. rotor pole interturn short circuit and broken damper bar detection.
Processing and presentation of data is adopted to your needs and requirements. Regardless of equipment and commercial setup, all external communication is both encrypted and anonymized. Cyber security is at the core of what we do.
